Now that we have our deck stained and looking brand new, I am wanting to add some additonal items to take my deck to the next level. We love sitting outside, eating el fresco, and bond fires on our deck. So as I am swooning on some of my favorite outdoor spaces gathering ideas, I thought I would share a few of my outdoor favorite things.
I have wanted to hang more lights over the deck to give us some more outdoor lighting at night. I love the idea of hanging them over the open space above instead of having them hang from our garage or the deck rails.
You can find many options for outdoor lighting on Amazon. My favorite ones are these Unique Retro Looking string lights from Brightech™
Tell me you would not want a relaxing space like this from By Stephanie Lynn. Now if I could just figure out where this would work in my backyard. I found this World’s Best Handmade Hammock that looks very much like the one above.
I love the look of planting flowers in galvanized planters. I think the color of the flowers with the vintage-looking planters creates a warm welcoming look. Who wouldn’t want your steps looking like these from “Shelterness.” You can easily purchase some newer Galvanized Watering Cans and do a DIY to make them look vintage like these above.
I love the fountain that we added 2 summers ago. I love to sit outside and hear the water dripping and it lights up and creates that mood lighting. Adding a water feature to your outdoor space creates such a relaxing a peaceful feeling. You can find a smaller version of mine, Alpine Tiering Pots Fountain, and set it on a table.
I am needing more color on the deck and have wanted to purchase an outdoor rug to place under the bar and or round table. I love how “Refresh Restyle” has added the right amounts of color to her porch. Her outdoor rug would be the perfect color and design I would need but I did manage to find this Turquoise & Moss Green Rug that would work too.
I do need to add a few Decorative Pillows and Solar Laterns on the deck to give it a few of those pops of color that are needed to make those finishing touches.
I am linking up with a few of my blog friends who are also doing their Favorite things Friday, so please stop over to each of their sites to see what they are swooning over!
