Transitioning to Fall!

I case you have not heard me say it before, I Love the Fall Season!  I love the colors(reds, yellows, oranges mixed with the greens) the sounds(ruffling of the leaves) and the smells(burning wood) of fall. This is my favorite Holiday to decorate, more than Christmas.  I want to share with you my living room that I decorated for the fall.  I started with my favorite area, the mantel.  I made an Autumn Quote Frame .  Click on the link to read about how I made it.

I changed my mantel look by adding a mirror to cover up the arch cut out that was original to the house.  You can read about the mantel by clicking on the  link to see how the mantel looks without the mirror.

Decorating the bay window is also a favorite area.

On the shelves, I changed out the photos in the frames to fall themed pictures  which just added to the warm colors against the dark frames.  I painted and stenciled the pumpkins, which you can read all about the pumpkins by clicking the link.  I also love how the acorn tree turned out.  I used branches from the yard and collected the acorns from my morning walks.
